Katy says: "Delta is an absolutely fabulous mare-- I would not trade her for the world; I've been traveling quite a bit with my job and every barn we stop at I get such compliments on her... She will jump anything you point her nose at-- tires, barrels, water, ditches, coups, benches, you name it, she wants to jump it! Never have I had a refusal or run out-- she may look at it long and hard in her approach (swapping leads every other side, etc.) but always decides the fun of jumping outweighs whatever scary obstacle I've chosen... the first time I ever took her out over a real cross country course for some serious schooling, she was popping over the beginner novice and novice jumps so easily that we aimed for a training level fence and she didn't even think about it, made the crazy training line to the next fence and -- same result -- soared over it. When I came here to Kentucky there is a great park with beginner novice through training fences that anyone can go school whenever. First time out at Masterson, we warmed up over some of the smaller jumps then went out and jumped the entire training course -- verticals, stairs, our first down bank, uphills, downhills, into trees, out of trees -- she never once balked!
